Coronary Care Unit
These inpatient units are designed to provide a quiet, peaceful environment to give as much rest to the patient as possible and to promote healing. RMI has a 10 bed CCU with bedside cardiac monitoring, central oxygen and suction facility. All other equipment required for the treatment of cardiac emergencies like defibrillators, ventilators and temporary pacemakers are also available.
While in the CCU, patients generally stay in bed for a day or two. Once moved to the Progressive Coronary Care Unit, patients are gradually allowed to walk (depending on their progress) and consultant's orders.
