At the Radiology Department in RMI, improved patient - care is our goal , which is why we are constantly investing in newer technologies in order to provide our patients with timely and accurate diagnosis.

Radiography

  • The Department offers utmost quality in imaging, accuracy in reporting with minimum waiting times.
  • In addition to all types of conventional radiography, the department is also capable of performing any fluoroscopic-dependant special radiological procedures. The procedures are performed under the direct supervision of senior, experienced and qualified Radiologists

CT Scan

  • The Department is equipped with a spiral CT Scanner. Whole body CT Scans are being performed along with a ‘hot reporting desk’ by qualified and experienced radiologists.
  • CT guided biopsies are performed with guaranteed target accuracy and post-procedure care.

Ultrasonography

  1. The Department is equipped with the latest Doppler machines.
  2. All types of conventional, abdominal, small parts sonography are performed with the reports being authenticated by a qualified team of sonologists.
  3. US guided biopsies/aspirations are routinely done with a high level of target accuracy and post-procedure care.

The Radiology Department at RMI now gains another dimension in digital imaging by acquiring the most-modern Computed Radiography system, the Capsula XL-II


Advantages of Computed Radiography System

  • Consistent and stable image density & contrast.
  • Optimized clear & sharp images for each anatomical region.
  • Improved diagnostics of soft tissues , bones , lumbar spine & abdomen , fluoroscopy , chest , IVP etc
  • No chance of cross – over of patient’s images as each file is electronically labelled with the patient’s information.
  • Over 50% lower x-rays dose – a major benefit for patients
  • Single x-ray dosage for multiple diagnostic needs i.e one x-ray exposure for bone and tissue details.
  • Faster turnaround times as opposed to conventional radiography.
  • By adjusting image brightness, a wide range of thicknesses can be examined in one shot, unlike conventional radiography, which requires a different exposure time for each thickness in a component. Thus requires fewer re-shots due to under- or over-exposure.
  • Images can be stored on disk or emailed for off-site review.
